Summertime Stories Our summertime story sessions will be running upstairs on the shop every Friday at 10am for babies and children from 0 - 11 years. Filled with stories, crafts, rhymes and songs we will be having a different theme each week - from farm animals to magical journeys. These are free and there's no need to book - just come along on the day!
Design a Poster for your Favourite Book Competition Throughout the summer holidays, we are running a competition for children to design a poster for their favourite book. There are three categories - 0 to 5 years, 6 to 10 years and 11 to 16 years. The winner of each category will receive a £10 George Street Books gift voucher. The entry box is in our children's section (don't forget to put on your child's name, age and contact details!) You can drop in to do your design, or bring in one you "prepared earlier"!
